On Wednesday 9th November we had a multi sport Nightowls session.

The evening started in beautiful balmy warm evening at 7pm with over 90 players on the green but just before 8pm the skies darkened and as lightening was threatened the greens were cleared and all came in and had a drink and watched Pakistan destroy the Kiwis in the T20 semi final as the rain came through However at 8.30 the teams resumed but following an imposed duckworth Lewis method of all leads were halved! At 9pm the bell tolled and all came in to a tasty bacon and egg muffin and spring roll prepared by Luckys kitchen. The wheel of fortune spun 5 times with winners taking home $69, $23 and $10 plus a couple of bottles of wine.

Thanks to all the helpers and players for making it a fun night Kevin and Liz

At Nightowls last night the hall was full with 28 teams turning out to play.

There was a great couple of hours bowling, making new friends and having a beer or wine with the music playing The wheel of fortune spun for Ann who passed on the $20 for the chance to take home $100 but walked away with $16 but happy as it was a free night.

Thanks to our helpers Wal T John Smith Malcolm Sweatman, George on the bar and Liz Rowley We look forward to seeing you all next week.

Week 1

Despite the threat of rain which never materialised, 21 teams of NightOwlers new & old turned up in great spirits to play their first game of the season. Some took advantage of our new catering to enjoy a meal before the game. It was great to see so many new faces, who had enjoyed the Intro to Bowls course run for the last 5 weeks & were delighted to take part in their first competitive games.

Thanks to John & George on the bar, Rob for the sausage sizzle & Terry for selling the tickets.

Thursday Night owls has also commenced

On a cool and damp Thursday evening it was great to see so many turn out for the start of the Thursday night owls Thanks to all the helpers some new to the role following the stepping aside of John and Linda after 8 years. Thanks to Wal, Linda Evans and Liz Rowley for getting it going with John’s help.

2022 2023 Night Owls

Combined Night Owls.

As Thursday Nightowls was cancelled as its Australia Day nine teams turned up to play on Wednesday night. This gave us 34 teams and virtually filling all rinks across the 3 greens.

The bowling was followed by a sausage sizzle cooked by WaL T and Smiffy. John Souness ran the bar.

It was a beautiful night and Linden flew his drone to take some snaps.

The wheel of fortune went well with winners taking $92 and $64 and $20.

The comp ended a draw with 4 wins for each night and one draw

A great evening was had by all.
