Race Night Social

On a balmy Friday evening we held our first race night and what fun it was! There were six races all sponsored and  all forty horses were sold. (thanks Liz R)  Thanks to Dean Haines and John Callahan for being our bookies. In between the races we had a dollar roll up closest to the jack which Kevin ROWLEY and Wally T won but donated back for a wheel of fortune.
The excitement was great as people’s horses neared the finishing line and the noise level increased somewhat!
The final race was the pig race and all pigs sold on the night with Dawn Stoddart taking home the owners prize.
The prize of $50 for 2nd largest single winning  bet was Linden Gibson
The prize of $100 for largest single winning bet was won by Wayne Henning
The runaway winner for the largest amount won was Shaun Coghlan who won $150.
Whilst a few more punters would have been welcome it was a great fun night thoroughly enjoyed by all and thanks to Wal T for arranging the venture and liz R  for selling all the horses. The owner winners who weren’t there will be given their prizes Christine Enders, Nathan and Dennis from Nightowls.
