Brighton Bowling Club Announces New Ladies Coach

The Brighton Board and head coach Brett Baldey would like to announce our latest recruit to BBC. New Zealand International (Blackjack #111). Kia Ora SEAMUS CURTIN.

Seamus has just finished his teaching degree and has decided to join Brighton Bowling Club.

Seamus will coach the ladies’ teams at Brighton and play in the Wednesday and Saturday Pennants.

His coaching Philosophy is “Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.”

  • Helped run College coaching sessions weekly for 3 years
  • Assistant club coach for 2 years
  • Bowls New Zealand Foundation Coach
  • Multiple individual coaching sessions with players throughout New Zealand

His major Bowling achievements include:

  • Youth Commonwealth Games 2015 Silver medallist
  • 2018 World Cup 5th equal (singles)
  • Bowls New Zealand National Pairs champion 2021
  • 2-time National Inter centre Champions (Wellington)
  • 2-time BPL participant for the New Zealand BlackJacks
  • Multiple individual coaching sessions with players throughout New Zealand
