New Club Coach for Brighton

After an extensive search across Australia, the Brighton Bowling Club has secured the services of Lee Farrell as the new Club Coach. Lee is currently the Northern Territory State Coach and a state player; he has won the NT state singles and pairs as well as many other events and has extensive coaching experiences across WA, NT and Victoria.
Lee has successfully coached across several sports during his career and won numerous events as a player.
He will play for Brighton, as will his wife Catherine, who is currently a state player and representing NT in upcoming Australia over 60 event. Lee will join us just after these commitments finish and before the Melbourne Cup, but he will be sending us his coaching sessions and information that Lee wants to collate so he will hit the ground running. As the season starts on 13th October, he will only miss a couple of games.
Lee has also agreed to run Thursday night owls, a Corporate Cup event, for four weeks in Feb 2023 and assist with any tournaments we run so we can increase membership and generate income.

The BBC Board would like to thank the RSL for their ongoing financial support with the recruitment. We will arrange “An evening with Lee Farrell” at the club as a question and answer session when he arrives so all can meet him and Catherine and ask questions.
The Board have also re-appointed Brian Noble as the Chair of Selectors, and he is working hard to set up trial games with several clubs with some already locked in.
We will welcome any player who is interested in joining our progressive team at Brighton.
